The third part of life, the ever-changing life, is made up of dream; the other two parts constitute itself; the biography of a person and these in turn are defined by place and time.

Jorge Enríquez is a Mexican artist born on October 24, 1997, in Mérida, Yucatán. Possessor of a defined color language, a vast space of entities that organically inhabit a world built by the character of its passers-by. Shapes that provoke a natural restlessness, always seeming to come from one place or to go to another.

​

His work, which proposes to take the everyday and bring it to myth, allows us to allegorically reinterpret symbols, images, flora and fauna that live around him. Jorge is an artist without formal academic training, that is, his aesthetic vision of him is usually without intermediary by the patterns, traditions and practices of the culture of the art world, as represented by the international art market and established art institutions.

Migration generally has its origin in economic and social problems. Making the journey of his travelers a common reality, who in turn see his world with a new perspective, idiom and cultural language. With these ingredients, the world endows our host artist with human elements of universal understanding, such as work, calm or rest. A walk through the precious moment of childhood and the abrupt discovery of adulthood.

Jorge Enríquez seems to always tell a story, each work is a detail of this world born in his imagination, where for example: skull people are important.In a state of philosophy in which it could be said that those who are no longer there are always with us touching here the folkloric duality of humanity and death. He also invites us to the sea, telling us through his work the place and time in which today, he continues to discover his surroundings, in a beautiful country full of history, colors and cultural richness called Mexico.

De paseo por el imaginario,la biografía y el atelier.

La tercera parte de la vida,la siempre cambiante vida,está conformada por el sueño.Las otras dos partes constituyen en si;la biografía de una persona y estas a su vez se definen por el lugar y el tiempo.

Jorge Enríquez es un artista mexicano nacido el 24 de octubre de 1997,en Mérida,Yucatán.Poseedor de un lenguaje de color definido,un espacio basto de entidades que habitan orgánicamente en un mundo construido por el carácter de sus paseantes.Formas que provocan una inquietud natural,pareciendo siempre que vienen de un lugar o bien se dirigen a otro.

Su obra,que propone tomar lo cotidiano y llevarlo al mito,nos permite reinterpretar alegóricamente símbolos,imágenes,flora y fauna que habitan a su alrededor. Jorge es un artista sin capacitación formal académica,es decir,su visión estética es usualmente sin intermediario por los patrones,tradiciones y prácticas de la cultura del mundo del arte,como representados por el Mercado del arte internacional y las instituciones de arte establecidas.

La migración generalmente tiene su origen en problemas económicos y sociales. Volviendo una realidad habitual la travesía de sus viajeros, que a su vez ven su mundo con una perspectiva, un idioma y lenguaje cultural nuevos. Con estos ingredientes el mundo dota a nuestro artista anfitrión de elementos humanos de universal entendimiento, como el trabajo, la calma ó el descanso. Un paseo por el precioso momento de la infancia y el descubrimiento abrupto de la adultez.

Jorge Enríquez pareciera contar siempre un cuento, cada obra es un detalle de este mundo nacido en su imaginario, donde por ejemplo: las personas calavera son importantes.En un estado de filosofía en el que se pudiera decir que quienes ya no están, habitan para siempre con nosotros tocando aquí la dualidad folclórica de la humanidad y la muerte. Nos invita también a la mar, contándonos por medio de su obra el lugar y el tiempo en el que hoy día,sigue descubriendo su entorno,en un país hermoso lleno de historia,colores y riqueza cultural llamado México.
