LEBIATHAN ART BY JOSE FIDEL DURAN GUTIERREZ BIOSKETCH

 

José Fidel Duran Gutiérrez, was born in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico in 1979. A self-taught painter who, from a
very young age, feels interest and concern for the art world in general.

His father guided him in his artistic beginnings by taking him to community workshops in the
City of Guadalajara where at the age of seven he began to shape his creativity and ingenuity with hand
drawings, watercolors and oils.

He enters fully into the world of canvas in 2005. Although he has not yet had the opportunity to exhibit his oil
paintings for the first time, his oil paintings express what his soul says, his vision and interpretation of the world
and of life. He also works in, as a craftsman, religious figures.

Fidel, as he is known, is a person who has been educated in the world of art for himself, by his own means,
carrying out the process of teaching and learning without the help of a teacher, based on the knowledge
acquired by the experience and your own critical judgement.

Fidel has fostered curiosity, research, and self-discipline, which has made him learn to solve problems for
yourself in a constructive way.

Fidel has read a lot about famous autodidacts such as Jorge Luis Borges, José Saramago, Claude Monet and
Leonardo da Vinci to name a few, who have taught techniques and expand creativity.

His personal history is directly linked to this concept. We all have a history and a story, therefore, the most
prudent thing is to start at the beginning. Loyalty follows the pattern of the vast majority of plastic artists.
Already as a child, he showed too much interest, his mind flew and imagined his works.

Without a clear future, he does not give up on his efforts and clings to the brushes like a float to overcome their
concerns and personal crises, the one we all have, but no one wants to acknowledge. He is restless and
sometimes conflictive, typical of artists with a strong personality that surpasses him. Fidel expresses his
projections emotions, ideas, feelings, anger, pain, sadness, and happiness, love which are arranged in colors and captured on a canvas to be able to reach, feel and touch those emotional fibers of each person who

looks at them.

His own paintings are the ones who manage to tame him, it is his particular mantra that gives him calm, helps
you channel your worries and maybe also your insecurities.

The year 2022 is for Fidel. He wants to achieve his first individual exhibition in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. With
this experience, he gains momentum to continue advancing in his life Project; he has it decided, there is no
turning back; now he is alone before the abyss and it all depends on your will and your ability to work.
He tries to impose with avant-garde techniques and conceptual styles, but it does not fulfill him, it may make
him even more worried. His school has been "La Vida" and he his own teacher.

What he wants the most is that his work being like. If they are sold, it would make him very happy. His favorite
phrase: “We are all art, depending on who is looking at us”

José Fidel Duran Gutiérrez, nació en Guadalajara, Jalisco, México en el año 1979. Pintor de formación
autodidacta que desde muy joven siente interés e inquietud por el mundo del arte en general.
 

Su padre lo guio e sus comienzos artísticos llevándolo a talleres comunitarios en la Ciudad de
Guadalajara donde a la edad de siete años comenzó a plasmar su creatividad e ingeniosidad con dibujos
a mano, acuarela y oleos.

Entra de lleno al mundo del lienzo en el año 2005.  Aunque aún no ha tenido la oportunidad de exponer
sus obras al óleo por primera vez, su obra al óleo expresa lo que dice su alma, su visión e interpretación
del mundo y de la vida.  También trabaja en como artesano de figuras religiosas.

Fidel, como es conocido, es una persona que se ha instruido en el mundo del arte por sí mismo, por sus
propios medios, llevando a cabo el proceso de enseñanza y aprendizaje sin ayuda de un maestro,
basándose en el conocimiento adquirido por la experiencia y su propio juicio crítico.
Fidel ha fomentado la curiosidad, la investigación y la autodisciplina, lo cual le ha hecho aprender a
resolver los problemas por sí mismo de una forma constructiva.

Fidel ha leído mucho sobre autodidactas famosos como lo es Jorge Luis Borges, José Saramago,
Claude Monet y Leonardo da Vinci para nombrar unos, los cuales le han ensenado técnicas y expandir la
creatividad.

Su trayectoria personal está directamente vinculada con este concepto. Todos tenemos una historia y un
historial, por eso, lo más prudente es empezar por el principio. Fidel sigue el patrón de la inmensa
mayoría de los artistas plásticos. Ya desde niño, mostraba demasiado interés, su mente volaba e
imaginaba sus obras.  

Sin un futuro claro, el no desiste en su empeño y se agarra a los pinceles como un flotador para superar
sus inquietudes y crises personales, la que todos llevamos, pero nadie quiere reconocer. Es de carácter
inquieto y a veces conflictivo, típico de los artistas con una personalidad fuerte que le supera.  Fidel
expresa sus proyecciones emocionales, ideas, sentimientos, enojo, dolor, tristeza, felicidad, amor las
cuales son ordenados en colores y plasmadas en un lienzo para poder llegar, sentir y tocar esas fibras
emocionales de cada persona que las mire.

Sus propias pinturas son los quien logran domarlo, es su mantra particular que le da sosiego, le ayuda a
canalizar sus inquietudes y puede que también sus inseguridades.

El año 2022 es para Fidel. Quiere lograr su primera exposición individual en Puerto Vallarta, México. Con
esta experiencia coge impulso para seguir avanzando en su proyecto de vida; lo tiene decidido, no hay
vuelta atrás; ahora está solo ante el abismo y depende todo de su voluntad y su capacidad de trabajo.

Intenta imponer con técnicas vanguardistas y estilos conceptuales, pero esto no le llena, puede que le
inquiete más aún. Su escuela has sido “La Vida” y él su propio maestro.  Lo que más quiere; que su obra
gusta, se vendan y además hacerlo feliz.

Su frase favorita es " Todos somos arte, dependiendo de quién nos esté mirando”
